Anime that reinforces shyness as a virtue tends to result in not overcoming fear of girls, or maintaining a view of politeness and humility that allows more aggressive people to find a girl first. The suppression of agressive urges and release in the form of H-manga fantasies doesn't help either. What anime needs is assertive, confident men who can talk their way in the bed of any woman, not through mere rape, but through not acting like a complete pussy at every moment around a girl. Japan needs to listen to Franklin R Covey or some other motivational speaker. Perhaps all the "seduction secrets" books that are being advertised here would be a hit in Japan, assuming anyone has the backbone to change their introversion.
