textboards > imageboards

The only reason to use an imageboard rather than a textboard is to dump images. There is no reason to use a name, tripcode, or image. Textboards are better for discussion because it's easier to refer to multiple posts, they have basic markup, and they're not autopruned. After hitting 1000 replies, a thread is archived. The only place where using sage makes sense is a textboard because bumping isn't necessary to keep a thread alive.
