I think it was FrozenFoxy who provided an LP of a demo of Duke Nukem, and it sure looked every bit as hollow as the rumors says it to be.

The biggest fan of the game that Duke4.net could find on YouTube, gave it a 6 out of 10.
You have to ask yourself one thing: How can you fuck up a flat macho man? All men are men. All straight men love pussy. Who came up with the idea that all straight men love the feel of freshly brewed stiff feces in their hands?
I looked at Duke Nukem 3D and I went "Given time, this guy could actually mature into a DEEP macho stereotype, be given a SOUL, and NOT just sound like a broken record. During these game engine swaps, this characterization must still be going strong and unaffected." but no, the demo revealed that the Duke still has the depth of cardboard. ...or maybe he is actually mentally handicapped in some major way - maybe that's the plot twist.
