Napoleon Dynamite

I don't get why people like this movie. I don't get why people quote it or wear Vote for Pedro t-shirts 7 years later. It's just not funny. It's boring. It's pointless. The jokes aren't funny at all. The characters are flat and don't do anything of interest.

Can someone try to explain why this movie is funny?

I did not laugh once at this movie I found it rather depressing, to be honest -- all these white trash, country trash retards making fun of the biggest inbred local losers, set against a bleak small-town community with long boring bus rides. Seriously, are fans of this movie mistaking pathetic for hilarious? Because, really, I don't think there are any jokes in this movie.
