I think /b/ should split. It should come back as 2 new boards. New/b/ and Old/b/.

The dividing line isn't between "oldfag" and "newfag" but between OC and reposts. If we have a board for strictly OC and another for reposts then I think it would be another healthy way of purging this cancer.

By splitting these apart you have a healthy stream of OC coming off the new board and it wont get lost between RATE ME and spam...

I'm not trying to be an asshole, but we already have an /r9k/. What we need is a filter as /r9k/ has to filter out the "cancer" post and only allow the OC to come through.

Putting a filter on /b/ will only turn it to /r9k/.

We new a whole new board for OC. One that is ONLY for OC. All other threads without OC get deleted.

Like I said we have a board like that already, it's called /r9k/. Besides what would be the point of splitting /b/ into two boards? The goal is to erradicate the cancer, not ignore it. If we choose to ignore it it'll only be a matter of time before it starts spreading again and we will have this situation in our hands all over again.

What you ignore is that the fact that it's not only a small percentage of people that disagree with their actions, it's the vast majority. I'll put it this way:

"cancer" takes over /b/ --> massive chemo applied --> /b/ros migrate elsewhere, invading other boards with hostility at times in the process --> pisses off other boards ---> /b/ gets destoyed and now you have displaced /b/ros and run the risk of "cancer" spreading to the other baords as there is no "outlet" for anymore.
