I got dumped from a 6 year job

And learned to fucking love being unemployed. First off, you don't need somebody else to work for all the time. If you're awesome enough, working for yourself is fucking awesome. Go to cafes by yourself and work for a few hours. Go for long walks for no reason. Hop on Amtrak and buy a ticket at random to work somewhere nearby. There's no reason you need somebody to tell you what to do.

As for the pay, you don't need a dedicated person telling you that you're the in desperate need of food, you already are. Go flex in front of the mirror, because fuck yeah, you're ribs are showing. Keep your chin up in public, and notice when other people start staring at their feet when you walk past them - that's because they don't want to give you spare change. I'm sure you have a million other things going for you in life, a job is but a single point in the scatter plot of you vs. being the shit.

I'll admit spending money is pretty fun, but sometimes stealing whenever you feel like it is better than bad purchases. Take it from me, a man who's bought some terrible goods, there are worse things than stealing. You could have a you're next door neighbours computer or a strangers wallet, think of the opportunities.

Really though, the best thing about being unemployed is that you can do whatever you feel like. Want to chat up a girl? Go nuts. Want to drink beer at 9am? No one will judge you. Don't feel like showering this week? That's somebody else's problem. Now, go do something you love.

How do you make money, though? I agree with you fully, but the problem of money seems serious.

I've been trying to come up with a lifestyle that doesn't require me to have a long term job for a while now. Fuck being a wage slave, there has to be a way to get a steady income through other means. So far, I don't really have any substantial ideas, all the "work from home on the internet" stuff out there either pays like 2 dollars a week or its a pyramid scheme.

It can't be that hard to scrounge together enough for rent, food, and internet.

I get almost 900€/month for having social anxiety and I pay 300€/month on rent/utilities (social housing). Been doing this for 3 years now, shit's pretty cash.
