Fun New Free Browser-Based Flash MMORPG!

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-10 9:33

Please visit http://www.tbadventure.com/register/index.php?ref=1623 for a fun new MMORPG! Sign up for a free account and get started playing right away! This game is lag-free and has a very friendly community, unlike other MMOs. *cough* WoW and Runescape *cough* And if you sign up for premium membership before Janurary you can save 25%! Please give us feedback as well. This is a game for gamers, by gamers, so give us ideas and we just might implement them! Forgive the few bugs; the game is not finished yet. But it will be complete by early 2007. If you'd like to be a part of a new and exciting MMORPG, then start playing today! Once the game is finished, it will be advertised on many very popular sites, so many more players will sign up and start playing. But if you start now, you can have a great advantage over those who haven't started yet! Our goal is to get enough profit from this game to fund our next project, a fully 3D shockwave-based MMORPG that is also browser based. But don't think we won't still support this current game- we will continue to have it online as long as we live! If you think what I've written is a bunch of bs false promises, go to the site, that's http://www.tbadventure.com/register/index.php?ref=1623, to see for yourself how good it is!

Fun New Free Browser-Based Flash MMORPG!

Not so free now is it? I'm just guessing that it's near crap if you don't pay.

No, there's quite a lot of things to do even in the free version of the game. Premium members do have some advantages though, but don't think that means free players get left out! See for yourself if you don't believe me. You can do almost all of what members can do, but free players are restricted to level 60. So up until you're level 60, you basically play the full version! And once you are level 60, you can continue to get xp even if you can't level up. This way, once you do become a member, you'll be a much higher level and enjoy more things.

And I should add that we are currently thinking about letting free players get to level 70!

And membership is a small one-time fee. It's around the cost of one month of WoW, but you get membership for life!

Why does the link have a ref on it?

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-10 16:41

>>5
So we can see just how many people come from the different places we advertise/endorse the game.

Why don't you hire someone who knows how to program a graphics engine?

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-10 16:55

Fine, just go to tbadventure.com or multiplayeradventure.com if you don't want to lick the referral link.

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-11 0:30

game sucks, i shat better

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-11 5:07

unlike thes guys i dont think it sucks. its not the best but some of the things are pretty funny and you can even design maps for the admins !!!

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-11 18:22

okay, i took a legitimate look at the game, here's what I experienced:

In the start area, the maps were messed up so I couldn't go anywhere besides two screens, so an admin had to teleport me to town.

At town, I tried to buy weapons with the gold I got from killing some rats.  When I bought the weapon, it only had one option when it was in my inventory: "undefined"

I logged off and logged back in to see if it would fix it, after which the helmet I was wearing went missing, a "smart cap" appeared in my inventory, and I still couldn't equip the club.

Conclusion: hahahahahha this is the worst game I have ever played, it makes Runescape look like fun.

It's not 100% finished yet, so of course it's a little buggy, and if anything specific about the game is bothering you, or you think could be improved upon, let the administrators know so they can change it for you. They will listen to your input.

ill be honest with you buddy

this either started as a project to explore, show-off, etc.
and finally ended up as an idea of income

or.. you might have had the same ambition from the start; to make money

listen to me, if the game is not finished yet, it wont be in a week. or a month. or a year. you WONT be able to fix a living game. you need to release a full game from the start.

first of all, it will keep players playing it. for example take a look at 15s reply, he WONT be back. and if you want to be in this buisness, EVERY single one player counts.

you have talent, you have come this far. but not far enough.
stop operations for a minute, calm down, and start working on it again, from th estart if possible

improve, rinse, repeat and make a better game that stands out.

because in the end you have to ask yourself some question, why should a person play MY game instead of anothers (e.g roonskape)
how much content do i offer?
what is my games replayability?
how much should i charge for this game? (according to your content, from what i see, the price for the game is NOT worth it)

and on a last note, know that you cannot please everyone, there will always be at least 2 sides so make sure a new patch or update is in between

OR... you can always give up. youre wasting more time on this tan you should

If you read on the forums, this is not our main project. We just need more funding for our 3D shockwave browser-based MMORPG, and this is an easy way to get a little profit. And we do not intend to make a living off of this or our new project (which we will only release once complete), just to have some fun and hopefully get at least a small amount of money to help pay for college.

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-11 20:33

And another important thing- we listen to our players and add or change things they request about the game, such as new areas, quests, monsters, etc. How many other games listen to user input as much as we do?

every single one?

2583 players and counting! (not counting the 7,000 or so dead accounts which were deleted)

I wonder why.. >_>

Also, now there's 2599 total active accounts...

Don't be surprised to find that the majority of accounts in internet games to be dead.

Name: VIPPER 2007-01-13 8:18

>>30
Yeah, really. Take Runescape for example- it has around 10,000,000 accounts total but only around 1-2,000,000 of them are ever used.

Fuckin' sellouts.

"The most unique, psychologically effective advertising you can get -It's virtual advertising.

Challenge a precise selected target audience range, Male/Female, an age group of your requirements and we'll make sure those users experience your advert in the virtual world of TBA. And only those users.

Virtual advertising in the world of TBA means you can choose how, where and when your company will be seen in the world by selected consumer groups. Whether you want users to buy your drinks brand or visit your companies shop in a world that they enjoy playing it's really up to your needs and your product.

For instance, should you own a ferry company -we could brand the ferries as yours, providing an unachievable consumer awareness of your company anywhere else. Ideas are all feasible and we will work with you to produce a solution ideally suited to your target audience.

The TBA Virtual world is like no other, 95% of people can join the world within seconds without having to download any complicated plugins or software. With thousands of people who play the game you have probably the best most innovative advertising method available to you in the world.

I've worked on Flash-powered MMOs before, and this isn't what I'd consider a MMORPG, and anything that advertises so much is bound to be boring in the long run.

Oh and about the MMOs I've worked on, they're all rather old:

This game is a pitiful joke.

Forget what everybody else has said so far: if you want people to play this game, it has to sell itself. Having idiots do some viral marketing isn't gonna make the game do shit.

Right now, the game has nothing going for it. Obnoxious color scheme (gold/yellow and white/black?), that does nothing to promote immersion in the boring 2d world, no introduction (you just appear in a random place on the map), no apparent story, the character models are beyond pitiful, the first monsters you kill are "rats" (oh wow! How exciting!); by the first 3 minutes, you're already bored. This game won't go anywhere.
