The New Beginning

John and Izumi's daughter, Abigail, is eighteen and ready to begin a journey of her own. With the prospect of school and a marriage proposal from her longtime friend, Tyler, her future happiness seems secured. However, Abigail is unsure of her feelings for Tyler, and to John's annoyance, waits to better know her own heart. Then a troubled young man named Jake Murphy, moves into the little yellow house, causing Abigail to learn compassion, and ultimately befriending the new neighbor. As Jake struggles with his painful past to begin a new life, Abigail wonders where her future really lies. It can be difficult to tell sometimes if a lobster is actually Dead On Arrival, or just sluggish after the long trip from Boston. One good test is to touch the lobster’s eye and watch for movement (gross, but true). If there are no signs of life, don’t give up yet! You may have heard otherwise, but we know that a lobster does not have to be alive at the moment you are cooking it in order to still be good. It is more a matter of the temperature at which the lobster has been kept, and the length of time that has passed, that determines whether it is still good. So how are you to know what to do?

Damnit, don't leave me hanging like that!  How do I know if it is good?
