OK,
So what's the deal with QuestionSwap I hear you ask?
It started off small and humble. A simple idea that I thought could be interesting. Now, it's a lumbering beast with a sagging database, with the spamming and racist vultures picking away at it's flesh.
I'm the one to blame. When the site first started, I was really excited by the feedback it was getting. I'd spend hours every day tinkering on the code and checking the quality of the answers. I had grand visions of the site becoming something quite important.
Now, I barely think about the site. Someone emailed me today saying there might be spammers on the site. I checked and the same question had been asked 1000's of times. I used to be able to catch and deter the spammers and the idiots, but I can't monitor the site 24/7 like I used to.
So, what to do? Put a bullet in the site's head? Put it up for sale on ebay? Roll up my sleeves and do some more work on the site?
One thing is for sure - the site isn't a money spinner. It's a labour of love.
Anyway, that's how I'm feeling at the moment, and this is a blog, so there you go.
Thanks
Adam
