Notice

It is now legal to sell swimwear on Yahoo! Auctions Japan, as long as (a) it has been cleaned, (b) the seller explicitly states that it's been cleaned, (c) there are no pictures of someone wearing the swimwear, and (d) no "extra services or products" are included with the swimwear for free.

Swimwear was totally illegal before now, presumably for the reasons outlawed above. Gross!

One other note: I will be away for most of this week at press events from THQ and Midway, so don't expect snappy mail responses. See you at the end of the week!

"Four people were arrested today when a group of three video arcades were discovered to have mahjong game machine that displayed pornographic movies. The four proprietors, including Yukio Ohmori (54), ran three arcades, including Game Spot Diana in the Shimbashi area of Tokyo. Ohmori is charged with using machines modified to display up to 60 seconds of illegal pornography when a customer won a game of mahjong or hanafuda. The video was taken from a DVD bought over the Internet and inserted into the game machine. According to Ohmori's testimony, revenue at his arcade doubled after introducting the pornographic machines: 'I knew I was doing a bad thing, but I did it because I was making money off of it.'
