Edmonton and Calgary anti-racist activists prepare for ‘White Pride Worldwide Day’

Calgary may be 300 kilometres south of the city, but anti-racist activists in Edmonton say that the activities of a Calgary-based white supremacist group are still too close for comfort.
So for the second year in a row, Edmonton activists will be making the trip down the QEII this weekend to join Calgarians in opposing a march being organized by the Aryan Guard—a self-proclaimed white nationalist group—to mark what its members call “White Pride Worldwide Day,” held to coincide with the United Nations declaration of March 21 as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

What is this day all about?
White nationalists and proud White people deciding to make March 21st of every year the day for a unified effort to denounce the racial discrimination and vilification that is occurring on a daily basis to White people around the world.
How did this day come about?
The multi-racial supremacists who support minority groups and leading the “United Nations” founded the “International day for the elimination of racial discrimination”, also known as “Harmony day”, which also occurs on March 21st.
So, in the early years of 2000 there were some small groups of White nationalists around Australia who had already been holding social meetings and regular BBQ’s for White nationalist Stormfront.org members. At one such place it was suggested to organize there own social meetings to escape the multi-racial oppression that would be experienced on that day in particular. During one of the BBQ’s held on this day several staunch White nationalists were discussing how to bring about awareness to the sleepers and cut through the mindset of individual White nationalists who feel they are unable to anything assist White victims by being outspoken.
“If the United Nations can have this “Harmony day” to get their ideology out there every year, then White people will have “White Pride World Wide day” to get there message out there every year!” one stated.
