wtf they just leave civilization behind to live as "noble savages"? I could see the people in cic, the cylons, roslin, and Baltar's cult do a thing like that but the rest of the fleet? those people have survived for 4 years on their ships without knowing what was really going on and when their leaders suddenly want to play "survivor" we're supposed to believe they would agree with that? all of them? the cylon war was over, they won, and now they have to give up everything. to live like stone age savage. they could finally live in peace! if I were the leader of the fleet I would order my people to build a city in india so that everybody could live in comfort and safety from wild animals and primitives and I would send out raiding parties cull the number of primitives and steal their children to raise them as our own. also, I would execute all the cylons and their collaboraters. adama and company have set back the human race 150000 years or more, that's pretty scandalous, even worse than what baltar did on caprica imo
the rest of the finale was pretty good tho

The part about our dancing robots being a warning to us made no sense. We don't need to fear the dancing robots of the future killing us, as humans are pretty fuckin good at killing us millions at a time already. We need to worry about us, especially those prick kids these days

I really liked the finale, but both of you do have some good points. The only thing that really stood out bothering me was the end with the robots. It looked like the end of a 1990's middle school documentary on robotics. Unrelated but as a side-note, they showed the SDR-4X which Sony canned along with the Aibo line. If that's representative of robotics, we have nothing to worry about.
Seemed like an overall rushed addition when they didn't know what "meaning" to apply to the series. If anything, it would have caused feelings against advancements in robots/ AI... Instead, it kind of floundered and failed to resonate.
Maybe I missed it, but I'm curious as to what happened to that last raptor that Adama took. I like the idea that we could still find evidence of it on Earth today :)

I think that kinda says it all.
They were writing as they went, and didn't have a plan for the ending until they were writing it. They intentionally left all of the glaring questions unanswered because they knew they could not give interesting answers.
I suppose we're to think that its Hera, but all they said was that Eve lived with her Cylon mother and human father, yet Athena/Helo was not the only Cylon woman/human man couple when the Colonists settled on Earth
