When I found out it shared a writer with Forrest Gump, it ruined the movie for me. For those of you that saw it, keep in mind these basic plot points:
1:Wise old mother ("box of chocolates"="never know what's comin' for us")
2:The entire love story (Button and Gump fell in love when they were a child; Jenny=Daisy; They both deny initial sexual moves from the respective woman; They both move away and live apart from their respective loves for some time; They even both write to their girls on every occassion, Gump every day and Button every stop of his boat)
3:Historical references (While Gump has much more direct contact with history, big themes in both films are the advancing of history and culture)
4:The characters themselves (they're both handicapped, albeit very differently; They're both very aloof and things just seem to happen to them; Neither is apt to explain their handicaps, Button never explains it in full except to Daisy, and Gump never mentions it)
So who else is pissed that they just got sold the same movie twice?
