You are a little gullible, aren't you?  The silly title alone should have set off your bullshit detector.

Warming might be a good thing.  Things weren't so bad for many countries during the medieval warm period.

You've been fooled again.  Read around on science sites, not political blogs and forums.  What we have recently is a different kettle of fish.

Global Warming IF it is happening, MAY be a good thing as it may allow previously uninhabitable or barely habitable parts of Russia, Alaska, Scandinavia, Greenland, Iceland, Canada and Antartica to be settled and it will melt the Arctic Icebergs allowing ships to travel from Russia to Canada across The North Pole without Icebergs getting in the way. It may even allow Oil Companies to build Oil Rigs in places that were previously impossible to develop due to ice coverage.

I saw on CNN a documentary about Greenland and how because the Ice Cap is melting away, they have been able to grow crops there that previously would not grow due to the harsh climate.

So what are the downsides, if any?

Sure, you never heard of any downsides?  For one thing, most people don't live in the far north.  Other places on the planet have other effects, such as decades of drought.  Just read around on scientifically oriented sites.  Here's a nice page that discusses various topics and misconceptions.

DUH! I ain't "most people" I live in the hills of Lowland England, warmer temperatures and rising sea levels mean I will be living next to a sub-tropical beach within walking distance, I know this because I saw a map of rising sea levels across The British Isles and my house was not going to be flooded, so Global Warming is a good thing, bring it on!!!!!
