Children of Men

Amazing movie, easily the best from 2006. I can honestly say, besides Jackass Number 2 (from laughing so hard) this was the first movie to really make me start crying. Did anybody else feel this way, or am I just growing a pussy?

I didn't cry but it IS the best movie of 2006.

I saw it but didn't enjoy it that much. What did you all like about it the most, so I can try to see why I underappreciated it?

It's obviously a GREAT film.  Best?  absolutely not.  it's story and plot are something great to think of, but it didn't spend enough time explaining how it went down, and the full effects of what happened.  all you know is that there are no fertile women left, and the world is at war.

also the ending....didn't really end the film.

Whut? It don't see how the ending didn't end it. And I don't see why all that stuff needs to explained, either. It's not really what the film's about, or rather, it's not the most important thing. It doesn't matter. I suppose I can see why you'd say that about the ending, if you're thinking about it that way.

Anyway, it was a great film, but yeah, I wouldn't say it was the best of 2006. It's in my top 5 for sure, but not number 1. That said, I have a really crappy memory, so I couldn't say what was better unless reminded of it first. Which... seems really stupid, but never mind.

imo The Departed was the best of 06. it was so solid
