That show is getting weirder and weirder. There is virtually no plot anymore and there are commercials every 10 minutes. I am about to quit, I am starting to get into Heroes though.

Watch it on the net, there are no commercials there.
This prison thing is probably another lame-arc like walking back from the tail section camp, and the captured otherguy, but still hope it's going to get interesting again between the arcs.

Lost is awesome. The only thing that isn't a pile of putrid shit on ABC. Dr. Jack needs some more screen time, though...he's just fucking sexy.

its good yes, but s3 doesnt seeem as good as the rest, dragging it out
No plot? Not as good as the previous seasons? What are you guys talking about? S3 has been a lot better than what I expected. Are we even watching the same show? :o
Heroes is damn good as well, I agree with that, though. :)

After last week's cliched crapfest I said to myself: 'If i have to sit through one more boring inconsequential flashback episode in which I learn virtually nothing about the present, I'm quitting this godamned show.' Sure enough, this weeks episode came through with more cryptic garbage and a meaningless flashblack.
That's it. I'm finished. I hate EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER on that island. I no longer care about the larger mysteries they keep flirting with or the smaller mysteries which have been ignored for two seasons now. I'd rather watch shows like Battlestar Galactica, that build mysteries and then answer them in a satisfactory way.
Lost is a waste of time.

OH NO! IMMEDIATE SATISFACTION! I WANT IT NOW!!! D: D: Jesus H. Fucking Christ, you whore, if you're too childishly impatient to watch shows that require more thought than the normal "dur dur dur" of regular TV, then maybe it's good for you to quit LOST...

They are signed till 2009. 2009! If you rewatch the first episodes they happened at lightning speed, they clearly did not plan on it becoming so sucessful and now have to stretch everything out way too much. It has been going slower and slower.
Heroes is better, its refreshing to get an answer the next episode, not 19 episodes later after hours of tedious buildup and then seeing that answer being tossed away and never being mentioned again.

LOST IS THE SHIT, HEROES IS THE SHIT, THATS IT

I don't necessarily want immediate satisfaction. All my favorite shows (The X-Files, Carnivale, Battlestar) involve prolonged mysteries which are revealed slowly through a progression of the plot and development of the characters. But I can only tolerate it so long as there is some indication of an approaching resolution. A final answer. Lost doesn't spend any time trying to help you learn more about the central mystery. They create more questions and then distract you with uninteresting and irrelevant sidenotes that have nothing to do with the present. This doesn't require thought. It requires mindless devotion to the mystery since, lets face it, Lost doesn't have any interesting characters, it has typical TV cardboard cutouts. I'm more than just tired of it. I'm bored. I'd rather watch a show where something actually happens.
Any merits that Heroes might have are deminished by some of the worst acting on television.

It has jumped the shark I think.
They were in these cages for like the last 2 months, and all of a suddent the girl just climbs out between the bars and uses a rock to unlock the other cage in like 10 seconds.
And the doctor could kill the leaders and other Others right now if he wanted too, but no, it's going to be drawn out and blow up in their faces again.

First they were in the cage for barely 3 episodes. And Kate climbed out of the cage on the first. So no shark was really jumped. SO stop your bitching, and move on to another show.
Heroes has been great so far but it's been going kinda bland the past 3 episodes.

True, however a month to you>four episodes>a week usually at the most for them.
The doctor could kill the other's leader and the ones near him right now, but his only reward would be hearing Sawyer get his brains blown out and hearing Kate raeped and killed on the radio.

I gave up after the first season. It was a brilliant show until the others were introduced properly and everyone was like "Oh shite these muthafuckas gonna steal our stuffz. OMG OMG we're gonna die!"

I'm considering starting watching Lost, but I'm afraid I'll get addicted and won't be able to quit once it gets crappy. Is it worth it?

LOST has really gone from bad to worse. Prison Break, Heroes and of course CSI are great.

Anonymous2006-12-07 23:33
Ugh. Prison Break is trivial and lacklustre. It just doesn't cut it as drama.
CSI?? Hah, you have to be fucking kidding me. That's some of the worst shit on television. Lots of fancy show and no real content. And it's fucking boring, too. I can't believe you just said that. Become an hero.

The commercials are killing LOST but the episodes of 3rd season actually have things going as opposed to 2nd season.
CSI is the worst piece of shit on television, every single actor in it is a complete ham, and the 'plots'- for lack of a better word- and banal and make me want to murder the writers.
Lost, on the other hand, is playing the long game, and they obviously have an epic story planned out. I don't know about commercials, seeing as we only have a total of four commercial breaks over in the UK, so I don't know what you lot are getting.
In the UK you now have to pay a subscription to watch Lost on $ky so we got to see the first two series for free, and have to pay to see the 3rd series. or get it for free of teh interwebs
Hell no, started off so well but the fame killed it. Now it's just convoluted money maker, keeping the week mind coming back each week with the hopes that there is some logic or clue to "what's really going on".
TRUTH = made up as goes along
Will still run for another 5 series at lest and a film of course all of which nothing will be resolved to the last ever episode. Where the writers will panic at trying to get all there shit to make sense, choke and come up with some crap that'll have the fans faping on the interweb "worst episode ever" *fap fap*
X-files, Babylon 5, Twin peeks etc.. need I say more?
Great Show + fame/money/network powers that be = Fagetory

Stoped watching mid 2nd season when 3 episodes in a row just seemed to be repeats of what had happened last week
