No. You have to see the movie with an audience for it to be totally awesome. The laughing and cheering make the movie experience one of a kind.

I went as soon as I could, the first showing at the local multiplex; expecting it to be a spoof movie, pastiche and clever puns, that sort of thing...

unfortunately it takes itself really seriously, so when I saw it on my own, it was fairly lifeless.

I can see how #3 and #5 would be correct - you *ABSOLUTELY MUST* see it with a bunch of your friends, then I am sure it will come into its own!

I saw it alone. While having no audience to cheer with certainly changed my perspective, I was careful to pick out bits of symbolism and hidden meaning. This is a film for film analysts.
