Horror Movie endings... Spoilers.

I've seen alot of horror movies that always seem to end up to the same conclusion or the same event. Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

For example take Amityville 3, Candyman and Jason (one where Psychic girl wakes up Jason), they all end up in the same manner. I suppose they all blow up because they make the audience feel like they really are dead or have vaporised. Hollow man seems to fall into this ending catergory, sorry for the pun...

Now can someone please tell me what's another good horror movie that isn't cliched?

I remember watching The Ring (Japanese Version) which is relatively interesting, though not scary...
