Arachnophobia

So what genre does Arachnophobia fall under, exactly?
I've always found it extremely amusing for some reason, but the DRAMATIC MUSIC and SCARY MONSTERS imply to me that it's trying to be genuinely scary.
However, the narrative structure (Oh, there's nothing to be worried about... OH, SHIT, THERE IS!) is more akin to a disaster film than anythiung else.

Falls under the "spiders" genre.

It falls into the natural science category ;P
