The Matador

This was an acceptable film, but what was with all the gay innuendo? Every other joke used cock or erection as the punchline. It was just so unnecessary in this movie, which would have worked just as well without the pseudo homosexuality in it.

Political commentary and the like are common in movies, but The Matador rises above such squabbles and presents its opinion not to stir conflict, but to drive home the thesis. The main character's slow and ugly transformation from simple killer to something greater is simply a template for the expression of true love between men. By wedging the lack of dissonance connected to homosexuality into the ass-shaped brains of unsuspecting viewers, the director may truly tell a moving story of manly adoration.

Oh, and I've never seen this movie, just previews for it.
