most shocking plot?

Plot, not content.

I'm talking Old Boy, Memento, Se7en.

Not simply "twist at the end," that's too easy, the twist must be perfect and unforgiveable, not a tool, but a purpose.

Thankyou.

But it already gave away the end in the beginning, or the end, or the..

The Village.
Shocking in that bad "GIVE-ME-MY-MONEY-BACK-OR-ILL-KILL-YOUR-PETS" way. Faggot.

Village = Bullshit... after 30 minutes you know the conclosion, except you are retarded.

The Village will the be the end of organized anarchism.

But seriously ... I'd like movies like "Haunted" is a book. Where you always expect the worst, but then it goes far beyond that. Maybe the texas chainsaw massacre is a candidate. I would like to see twists like at the beginning of Stephen Kings "Desperation", where human values are being wittily shat on; Not by grossing people out, not by showing things that are considered vile by contemporary society, but by letting the bad guys truly win, by letting the heros do everything right and yet completely fail, not just lose but actually being played to unwittingly aid in the carrying out of evil agendas.

I haven't seen Oldboy - I'll catch up on that tomorrow.
Memento shows a hero running blind, but puts us outside of the phenomenon as it is caused by a peculiar psychological condition.
Se7en is one of the psychological crime thrillers where the serial killer outsmarts his persecutors. But one cannot say they truly aid him. In Silence of the Lambs they aid him, but they get something out of it also.

The movie I want to suggest is quite recent: Syriana

Anything by Takashi Miike, particularly Audition, Happiness of the Katakuris, and Dead or Alive.  DoA is more just a big twist, but the other two just go in directions that you didn't expect them to.

twists? nothing new. Just catch Twilight Zone reruns. A twist in every tale...err..episode.

FIGHT CLUB, hopefully the rumours are true about choke being made a movie

SAW, I was so not expecting that end.
Fight club is seconded, i was spoiled beforehand though.
Unbreakable & Sixth sense were worthy enough to give us high hopes about the village.
What's the one where the characters are killed of in a motel which actually in someone's mind.
