Need help identifying a movie

I managed to see a clip of a certain movie when I entered Circuit City about a month ago. The setting is old japan in a school and it appears to be the target of a massive long-range arrow attack. The arrows fly through the building killing some students and as they try to escape, their teacher blocks the exit and goes to his seat(no desk). Some of the alumni return back in hesitation as the arrows continue flying.

Anyone know what movie it is?

I'm not sure I recall Hero taking place in old japan.  Perhaps he meant pre-china.
