sin city vs. spawn

specifically, "that yellow bastard" vs. billy kincaid.  isn't this a straight-out ripoff by frank miller?  powerful politician's son who is a child killer?  don't know the exact dates for spawn (started in '92, billy's near the front isn't he?) but TYB came out in '95-'96.

also seems like no one knows how to shoot for black and white anymore, so i would have liked it in color.

(would have posted this in cartoons and comics but it appears to be filled with posts about the new TMNT, transmetropolitan, and other stuff that makes me sick in comparison to SUPERIOR JAPAN)

Here's a little exercise.  Write a 24 page comic script, with a contemporary setting, and nonsurrealistic, that doesn't involve any plot ever done before.   

perhaps you mean "that doesn't use the exact plot done a year or two before in the most successful independent comic ever made, which you undoubtedly read since you also do independent comics".

contrast with the matrix successfully synthesizing lots of shit in just the right way at just the right time.
