AV Video Multimedia Producer
A52, a Los Angeles-based visual effects and design company, used Autodesk Media & Entertainment’s Discreet® Inferno® and Flame® systems to create seamless visual effects for Coldplay’s new “Speed of Sound” music video produced by Mark Romanek. The video progresses through several “moods” which were created with Autodesk’s visual effects solutions. “There’s an LED light-wall behind the band, and as the video progresses, the wall emanates different lights for different section of the video. We tweaked each section differently, sometimes hand-placing luminence but generally pumping-up the lighting and making the colors pop visually to match the edit and the look Mark wanted,” said Pat Murphy, lead Inferno artist for the project.
