There was a short lived gameshow where participants had a really difficult task that they had to spend months practicing before proving they could do it, whether it be reciting Pi to the hundredth decimal or playing a long piano piece. I'm dissapointed to see it gone. It actually gave people more of a purpose in life than a show that demonstrates how someone can't answer one out of four simple questions and have to ask the audience for help.

There's a show like that called Happy Family Plan, but that's a Japanese show... Akiko Wada was one of the hosts. And the father was typically the one that performed the task. So many episodes had the father being able to do the task pretty well at home but just before he had to do it on stage, the announce would yell out some crap about fate and freak out the contestant. Worked like a charm.
