Blues Brothers

People, I watched those movies again and say what you want, but they are both masterpieces. They are not best for their car chases, they are not best for their humor, they are not best for the music, they are just best because they are these movies.

I'm considering in buying a painting of Jake and Elwood because that would be awesome, waking up and seeing Jake and Elwood on the opposite war, and maybe sing oneself to the kitchen(yeah right).

anyway, discuss!

Blues Brothers simultaneously has not one, but two of the greatest car chases committed to film.

Choice bit:  In the recut version, a scene that is usually left out (because Elwood isn't wearing his sunglasses at work) reports to his boss that he's quitting.  The exchange is very tense.

Elwood:  Sir, I'm leaving.

Boss: Oh, YEAH?

Elwood: Uh, yeah.. I'm going to become a priest.

Boss: .....
.....
Well, okay.  Good luck.

Elwood: God bless you, sir.

Boss:  ...... Thank you!

I dunno, you just have to see it.

Another fun thing is showing the movie to people who haven't seen it.  They're COMPLETELY unimpressed until the first car chase.  Once that's over, then they're in like Flint for the rest of the movie.  I hear John Landis had mob help to film the second chase sequence, as well.
