Uwe Boll

Hey there people, i assume some of you have seen what crap Uwe Boll is spilling out of his brain. Far Cry the movie starring The Rock? please no!
What game would you people rather see beeing made into a movie and who do you think would be right for directing and who would be good actors? :]

Right now i'd like to see Half-Life the movie just to get to know what the heck happened between the many gaps in the plotline. But i can't figure out who could make it a good horror/action flick and i really don't know who would fit the role of gordon freeman or the g-man :]

hehe, sorry for the ranting but i am tired and anxious to try out the new boards :]

I'd like to see a snuff film with Uwe Boll as the victim.

I second that.
He must never live to mutilate another video game movie ever again.
House of the Dead.... Alone in the Dark.... oh fuck.

Anyone have a link to that Alone in the Dark trailer with the people shooting at a bunch of crates?

Personally, I think Silent Hill would make a fantastic film, however it all depends on the director and writer.  Burton could pull it off visually, however he would never touch it.  Not really his cup of tea.  Carpenter, however, could most likely pull it off.  The man has had some duds, but he has the ability to do well enough.

I'm very worried that a one-hit French guy is directing the ever-elusive Silent Hill movie, even with the knowledge that Konami is working closely with the crew. Hell, I myself wouldn't mind anything more than a faithful adaptation of SH2's story.

I'd like to see those Metal Gear movies get started on already. Though with my knowledge of American cinema it better be directed by a guy who doesn't have that much patriotism leading him but more of a guy who's actually played the games somewhat and is more interested in the actualy story, or else they're just gonna make the star some body-builder who's used to action flicks the The Rock or Vinn Diesel. (fags)

The games are cinematic enough on their own, and I'd rather leave it that way. The videogame medium also allows Kojima and crew to better interact with the audience, which they take full advantage of.

Besides, if it were to be a live-action movie, no one, and I mean no one but David Hayter would be able to play Snake.

Personally, i think Carpenter i a tad too action-oriented to succesfully transfer Silent Hill to film, seeing as the games depend heavily on mood. Jean-Pierre Jeunet, of Amelie fame, would be a much better choice, I think. If you check out some of his earlier movies such as Delicatessen and City of Lost Children, its obvious that he is masterful in creating the claustrophobic mood that would be necessary to establish that geuine silent-hill-feeling, that we all know so well. Also, he's  french. French!

Just make him tone down that rasp he got going for Snake Eater. When he speaks I worry about his throat breaking mid-sentence.

Okay so it's 2011 and Boll's movies are still shit. Although one of his latest movies, Rampage, was not universally panned. It was still panned by most people, but a few actually enjoyed it. Another Boll update in 5 years. Maybe by that time he'll have made something half decent.
