Series you are watching at the moment

Name: Onizuka 2004-12-26 15:32

Since I'm stuck in Belgium with shity television I don't get many of the good stuff so I download them. I'm watching Scrubs S1-4, 24 S2 and Lost.
But I'm always interested in new, good series, any suggestions?

i like lost
i found it randomly flipping channels the other day
whats it on wednesdays?

dont really watch much tv... 95% sucks

Name: Anonymous 2004-12-26 17:33

A friend of mine is really nutty for Lost. It seems like an interesting show, probably something I'd be into. Only problem is that I keep missing it. I should invest in TiVo or find some torrents. If only I wasn't so damn lazy ^_^;

Agreed. Whenever I do watch tv it tends to be stuff like CSI or Everybody Loves Raymond. Reality shows can kiss my ass.

Name: Songlian 2004-12-27 2:36

The only show I like at the moment is Lost. It's fantastic so far, I haven't had a reason to watch a show regularly like this in a really long time. I agree with ya Sharte, I am so damn sick of Reality shows and all of this crap on tv...

Name: Anonymous 2004-12-27 18:18

lost is good, mostly for the title logo
and the cinematic style... very dark and clean, nice on an hdtv

thats what differentiates it from the rest of crap on tv...
the slickness of it... the immediate visual/superficial hook

but the plot hasnt let down so far, so maybe there is some substance to the show as well..

Mythbusters anyone?

Name: Anonymous 2004-12-28 10:33

I'm watching Battlestar Galactica on Sky 1 at the mo, interesting how different it is from the 70s version. Unfortunately I think it's only airing in the UK at the moment (I know for a fact that we got it before the US :)) but you can probably find DivXes of it around the various P2P nets

Name: Veemon 2004-12-28 16:07

I like watching Joey right now, mostly because I was obsessed with Friends. Fairly Odd Parents, Sealab 2021, and Dave the Barbarian are pretty good too.

Name: Anonymous 2004-12-28 17:20

You must be one of the only people watching Joey, 'cause the ratings for that show are in the toilet.

Pretty much the only show I watch every week is Without a Trace. Currently borrowing a friend`s DVD set of Stargate SG1 too. Awesome.

Name: Anonymous 2004-12-30 12:24

Well, not much but LOST right now.  In January, Battlestar Gallactica, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and 24 Season 4 fire up though.

What's up with the camera work in that show?  It looks like they're trying to make it look like a crew member is making an ametuer documentary - shots coming in and out of focus, camera can't stay still, etc.  Anyway, SG-1 is pretty good, although I haven't been keeping up with the sky one Atlantis.  Is it any better than the first half?

ON the Topic of Lost -- Who's story do you guys think is best so far?

I personally like Loc's even though they're giving off all sorts of hints that since he regained his legs and pretty much became superman, he's (probably) the one keeping them on the goddamn island.
though he is the coolest ^__^

Stargate SG-1 & Atlantis.

Currently @ S08E13 with SG-1 and S01E16 with Alantis. SPOILER: MyKay dies... NOT. which is a good thing. he's a lot intelligenter in Atlantis then in his guest visits in SG-1.

Arrested Development.  Spooks (aka MI-5, in America).  House.  Medium (just started, looks promising).   Arrested Development.  Monk (though, a tad overrated).  Arrested Development.  Stargate SG-1.  Kevin Hill.  And have I mentioned Arrested Development?

Name: Anonymous 2005-01-09 8:46

whats so great about arrested development.....

GOB w/ no PANTS

compared to other new -ish sitcoms/comedys, arrested development is pretty good.  it has a PLOT, somewhat.  it has great writing and dialogue, great direction.  the JOKES, my gawd the jokes.  the plays on words...  ("I blue/blew myself".)  and last but not least, Portia de Rossi..

I dont have cable, so for television viewing I'm rather limited. Lost, ncis, csi (original & miami, new york is a let down), without a trace, the law and orders are all keeping my attention, along with scrubs and a select few other comedies. I've been watching joey and stuff, but mostly just to pass the time until something good actually comes on.

Other than that, I make it a habit to download the latest stargates (both series) and now that I've seen the battlestar galactica mini series the other night on NBC, I'm downloading it as well.

If theres a time where theres not anything good on and I'm bored out of my mind, I'll plow through various anime, but thats not really on subject with this forum.

AND NOW THAT YOU KNOW MY VIEWING HABITS, YOU MAY RETURN TO NOT CARING ABOUT ME!

I like Locke quite a bit as well, he's probably my favorite character so far. Actually, I like most of the cast, which is really refreshing and most of the reason why I enjoy Lost so much in the first place.

Scrubs, Huff, Law And Order(SVU)

Name: Anonymous 2005-01-22 20:53

Oz season 4.

i want to stab people now

Name: anon. 2005-02-06 21:17

csi csi csi csi las vegas is the only way to go. miami and new york suck in comparison. there is no comparison.
horatio... give me a break!
that and house - so witty.
i'm all for the clever come backs in which house is saturated. if you haven't already seen it, definitely check it out, not only cause its a hospital drama (er is excellent too) but cause laurie is hilarious, and the setting is so damn posh.

Name: Anonymous 2005-02-09 12:48

Battlestar Galactica, along with 3.2 million other Americans

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-05 23:58

I find that I enjoy a lot of stuff from NBC
Arrest Development (Hugely underated)
Scrubs (Was Almost Cancelled)
West Wing (Really smart show, to bad it got cancel)
NCIS (Just Started)

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-07 19:48

I've just jumped on the Lost bandwagon about a year too late, but it's ace. I also can't stop watching the first four seasons of The West Wing.

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-13 17:52

Lost

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-18 19:15

>West Wing (Really smart show, to bad it got cancel)

It was time, I think. It was amazing up until Aaron Sorkin jumped ship, but it's been steadily turning into ER with politicians ever since.

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-19 15:56

Completely hooked on CSI. the spinoffs are varying degrees of horrid, but the original is addictive and I love Nick's hair.

HOUSE. laurie. oh yes. we love the laurie.

and when I'm going through CSI withdrawal, Law and order keeps me entertained. though I despise the new cast they have for Criminal intent. I miss Goren.

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-20 19:17

House, Battlestar Galactica, Attack of the Show
Friends and Simpsons whenever its on

AD is very funny indeed. Everyone should watch it.

Name: Anonymous 2006-02-27 10:13

carnivale! it's excellent. very confusing and creepy and dark, apparently its like twin peaks which i haven't seen yet, but will. i'm sad there were only two series because i only have 3 episodes to go now...

Name: Anonymous 2006-03-04 5:31

I decree that Belgium has pretty good TV. BBC 1 and 2 coupled with VT4 and Kanaal Twee = insta win. Where in Belgium? If you live in wallonie then i agree that Belgian TV is shitty.

Name: Anonymous 2006-03-07 0:04

CSI, at the moment. But the reruns of Law + Order Criminal Intent with Det. Bobby Goren are current favourite. Have not quite seen them all...
Family Guy. funny last night.
