Need help with connecting to google.com

Not a tech-savy person here and need help.

I cannot connect to google.com.

I can connect to the direct IP or get connected to the page with another browser, but google chrome does not allow me.

Ping showed no problems and neither did nslookup.

I've also flushed my DNS but that didn't work. Please help.

I recently turned off my computer by accident with the emergency shut off switch in the back.

No my computer takes forever to load Windows and the computer is now slow as hell. Defragged and chkdsk and nothing has been detected.
