Internet is changing...

I didn't know where to go to ask this question but, in general has anyone else noticed that the internet has started to behave differently with the rise of Reddit? Like the spread of Reddit cultural behavior?

did 4chan have a similar effect a few years back when it became pretty mainstream?

What's been happening over the last 5 years is the same thing that happened to usenet back in the day. The top %10 of the internet that contains the vast majority of commercial websites and public services is where Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, and 4chan resides. 4chan had one of the most profound effects on western internet culture since AOL, and Reddit has taken that momentum now. pre-2006 4chan still exists, just not on 4chan.

The face of the internet will never be the same, but there's still more places to hide and take it easy in the "other" %90 of the internet that average people don't know exists. You just gotta go find it OP
