Give yourself a goal or project to work on, then do it. Or if you know any other languages start by porting some previous problems you've worked on in the past, but in some cases this isn't possible

A teacher with experience can help you form good habits and I've known some people who can't get themselves to teach themselves and would rather take a class on it where the class moves whether you want it to or not.

Self-learning isn't always the best route, there's no difference if you figure it out in 20 minutes or if someone tells you it in 5 minutes. If the goal is to teach you problem solving skills, then lolnope.

Don't change these.
