College Major

Hey /tech/
I've been told this is the board for actual technical discussion and so I come to you with two questions. I plan to become a computer engineer if I have what it takes.
I have the opportunity to attend either UC Berkely or UC San Diego, Berkeley is supposed to be very good for Engineering, but it's also very far away from where I currently live. UCSD is very close and I like the campus more so than berkelys, but that isn't a big deal if UCB's education quality is higher.
Secondly, is it financially sound to go for CS or CE/CSE, computers have really been my only interests since birth.

Neither of those are questions because they have no question marks.

CS is a growing industry and there are loads of well-paid jobs available. That won't be a problem for you.

I am a big fan of San Diego.

Not for scholastic reasons but because of the superior weather. Even though they took down the HHARP towers which gave us the artificial seasons that we weren't supposed to get, the weather is now more consistent and the flood-waters are finally rushing away from New York. Our invention for clearing the oil from the gulf of Mexico was a success.  Also we successfully exterminated the "walking dead" that were carrying that "flesh eating virus" in Camp Pendleton.

For a place that is so educated, we tend to screw things up badly. Then again, at least we know how to clean our messes. You know who I'm talking to.

I want to see more awesome technologies from places like this who provided the astronauts with superior weaponry. The implications are true. There was a war in space and we defeated the Russians. We called it a "Star War".
