Require help because of own stupidity

I used to have an e-mail address. This e-mail address was shut down/hacked/I don't know what by persons unknown (maybe someone on here.) I have since created a new account (see above) but my xbox live gamertag is still tied to the old one. I don't remember enough of the account details to recover it through official channels, I created the account over 8 years ago. I only need access to it for a minute to sever the xbox account from the hotmail account, then I never need the account again. Is this the right area to seek help in, or do I need to go to a different board?

It's not my gamertag I need recovered. It's the e-mail address attached to it. The e-mail was shotgun_showdown@hotmail.com, I'm not sure what additional information you would need to attempt such a thing, but you can send an e-mail to normandydieppevimyridge@hotmail.co.uk (my new address) and I'll send you whatever I can remember.
