Okay, so I have an HP laptop that uses Windows 7, and every time I try to open my files from something [True Crypt, Facebook] the program freezes and sometimes makes my computer crash. Can anyone help me with this?

You'll probably just have to reinstall windows. Honestly, it's no big deal. Knowing you though, you probably have absolutely no back ups of your files/programs. There's a tool you can use called Easy Transfer Wizard that native to Windows 7 that will cleanly back up your profile (your files and settings that are under your username). Reinstall Windows 7, it'll take 30 minutes tops. Import your profile from the back up; then go to ninite.com and reinstall basic vanilla programs fairly fast. Not sure if you game but you can also back up steam games as well (I'd recommend this if you have a slow download speed).
