what are the best GIF makers/optimizers out there? i can't remember what i used, but whatever it was, i got a 20MB gif... (i even made it 160x120, halved the framerate)

You're probably using 256 colors like some kind of idiot. Reduce it to 32 colors and undo the dumb approach you took

ah, it seems good ole MS GIF Animator got it down to 4.x MB
