I had to ditch my Windows 7 install a few months back and switched to various Linux distros instead. After a few months of that bullshit I'm about ready to suck Bill Gates' cock if it will get me back to W7. My W7 install was part of some special offer thing so I don't have a CD or anything to install it from, so I'm considering pirating.
How doable is it? Does the install usually end up pretty fucked up or buggy, or has it worked smoothly in your experiences?
They're actually perfectly legal ISOs. Of course, you need an activation key, but here's where we get past that. Skip the part where it asks for the key. After the installation is finished, your copy will only be valid for 30 days unless you activate it. To activate it, use this: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/24901-Windows-Loader-Current-release-information
After that, you will have installed Windows 7 as if you did it legally.

Or you could use a pre-cracked copy from the Pirate Bay or something. A chance there'll be malware, but there's never been in my experience.
Most companies don't ship DVDs any more; only Dell (AFAIK) actually sends you a free DVD if you ask. I don't see anything wrong with downloading a copy of what you had before, and reinstalling it.
...Especially versus paying Acer $35 to send you the same thing.
