Quick question about C#

Hey, /tech, I've been dying to get an answer for my issue.
I set my listBox modifiers to public and am trying to call a method listboxname.Items.Add(string) from a separate class. Calling that doesn't do anything. I've tried every solution I could've come up with. Halp?
