please, help me;

here's the thing.. I had this old pc and lost my motherboard to life, so I decided to take my HD and connect it on my other PC to recover my data. It is with XP installed... so, I connected it here on my pc with windows 7 and all I can do is see the drive... can't access any data that is inside (I didn't format it, I know the data is there).

So, what I ask is: is there any software that could help me recoverying my data here with the windows 7 or I will have to find a PC with XP installed on it and access? I say that because I've done this before (accessing this very one HD in another PC), but it's kinda hard to find pcs with XP on it nowadays...

Run diskmgmt.msc
This is just for checking, won't repair shit.
In the upper half you'll see the working partitions, and in the lower half should be listed all your disk units. Do you see your drive there?

Also, asuming your dead drive was SATA, and your working PC uses IDE drives, maybe you just need to install SATA drivers on your working PC.
