bought an hp pavilion dm4, one usb fails. thats ok, just buy extensions. recently, the other fails. i figure oh shit, update drivers. nope. ok, uninstall root hubs, restart and reinstall. nope. check power to usb ports, under 500mA. cool. check BIOS, cant get into it for some reason. maybe i didnt wait long enough. replace MO BOARD to get new usb ports, STILL DOESNT WORK. SAND DOWN THE FUCKING HOUSING AROUND THE USB PORTS AND STILL NOTHING. i was just advised to reinstall my video driver and that didnt fix it. my chipset is fine. whats wrong with it?
