MOST DEVICES have screens you can get software info from. Some devices just show test. How????? Easy....JUST PRESS BUTTONS. Thats all.
SONY TV's- (Sonys especially)
Turn off the TV. Press and HOLD the Volume - and + (down and up). While holding - TURN THE TV ON! Woo!
Panasonic 720p Flat Screen- TV's
Turn on the TV. Press and Hold Volume button, Then While doing that press the INFO key 3 time. A big blue box will come on the screen.
Kodak Picture makers - (Older than 2007 I am guessing) [You can find these in CVS, Rite Aid, etc]
Press each corner 1, 2, 3, 4....Going Clockwise. This should either come to a blank screen or bars.....
Register Printers-
IBM is good for this. Go back and forth 3 times with the arrows. This should make the recipet paper print out some garbage. You CAN see software infomation when its unlocked.
HP Laser Jet 2200dn and OTHER hp's I assume-
Press the little circle, then big circle then little circle. This printed out a software page with IP addresses. You can print test pages as well.
Atari Flashback 2 - N/A
Plug n play RCA TV Game system - Hold down all 4 buttons on the right side of the control pad. This displays a software version number.
Shop-Rite Price check machine- Press ALL 4 gray buttons at once. (PASSWORD PROMPT comes up)
Kodak 5.1 MegaPixel Digital cameras-
Goto your about menu in your camera. Goto the about Firmware screen. Press Trash (Delete) & Right Arrow at the same time. Another menu should pop up.
Droid 1 -
On the DIAL SCREEN - type in ##PROGRAM - Displays info on your phone OR- *#06#* - This shows your Serial # for your cell phone.
