Hey /tech/ i was wondering if you'd be able to help me with a networking problem. Recently, the internet will go out but the network won't go down. Unplugging the Router and Modem and plugging them back in seems to fix the problem but internet goes out maybe 20 minutes later.
The modem and routers have both been replaced and the problem still occurs so i'm pretty sure it's not those. I'm guessing that it has to be some sort of cabling issue involving the cable before it reaches the modem.
Could a bad amplifier be the problem? The amplifier that connects to the modem is on a section of the house that blew a fuse a couple of times before this all started. Would it be possible that that was the cause of all of this?
Thanks in advance.
