Partitioning Help

My HDD has 33 GB of free space.  I'm trying to partition it to create a dual boot.  However, when I try to shrink the drive, is says I only have 780 MB of free space to partition.  I defragmented my drive with no change in available space.  Running Windows 7 32-bit.  Any help?

windows is notorios for taking up space that seems free. try dual boot linux and patition your drive with that, ubuntu or debain are nice enough to help. good luck dude.
