I just got a 2TB external drive with eSATA. Both PCs (laptop and desktop) I've tried it on hang when booting with most any external drive plugged in. The same thing happens with my 250GB USB drive. There's absolutely nothing on the new 2TB.
The desktop's motherboard is a Gigabyte P35-DS3R, and I'm using the included eSATA PCI card.
Is it inevitable that it will never boot/ take long time, or is there a way around this? Since my hardware isn't plug-and-play compatible, I don't know how to get it working.
