/tech/, I am at a loss here...
I am housesitting this weekend for my girlfriend's parents house, and for some reason my computer will not connect to their wireless router.

My laptop is running windows 7 64 bit, and no matter what I try it won't connect.  It sees the router fine, but beyond that nothing

Check the following, using IPCONFIG on the Win7 box, find out if your getting an IP from the wireless router . . .

Do you see the wireless network SSID . . . .

If you do see a SSID, do you see a refusal to connect then its a password protected access port . . . .

Also look to see if there is another computer in the house, go to control panel, network and see how the IP address is set up in that machine. . . .

Many problems, make sure the wifi in your Win7 box is turned on also
