To keep your Confidential Property safe:
Hide a computer with a wireless network card inside your walls to use for storage, accessible only through your mac address. It will automatically shut down in x minutes unless it receives a periodic keep-alive signal.
If your main computer is confiscated, the hidden computer shuts down, leaving only a miniscule power drain for its wake-on-lan. Hopefully nobody will search that deeply anyways.
Is this feasible? Am I missing something obvious?
If it sounds like a good idea, what's necessary to make this work?

if you use truecrypt, its a huge tip-off when tehy find it installed on your computer.
If you keep truecrypt on a usb, you have the same problem of hiding a usb stick, except usually they'll be looking for one of those, not a computer in your wall, and you need to keep it somewhere accessible if you ever need to use it yourself.
With this method, there isn't really any need to put truecrypt on the hidden machine (at least, not to create a dual password setup on it), because if it were ever found, it's pretty damn obvious you have something to hide.
You just rely on it never getting found in the first place.
