Need a surveillance system

My family wants a surveillance system because our neighbor got robbed recently and we've had 2 attempted robberies so far. I've been looking around for a surveillance system for around $500, but it seems almost impossible to find a decent one. I'm looking for a 4-5 camera system and I can only find them costing up to $1,000.

Just get a fucking sticker that says you have a surveillance system. Works just as well.

A surveillance system?  So you can see yourself being burgled?  >>2 is right.  Get a sticker, some fake cameras, install motion switches on exterior lights, and buy a shotgun.

Easy - buy some cheapo cams of the net and an oldish computer, hook em through to ZoneMinder (Great open source surveillance system)

Can operate it remotely etc etc
