k so... I'm trying to program in python.. but wtf do i do? i read some books, and i know how to do shit like... print hello world, define a variable, and math and shit... but how do i write a program?

You cannot do something complicated^[1] without knowing what you are doing. Start doing simple things. Random phrase generators, text-based games, web-page fetchers and searchers. Once you get better (or have any idea what you are doing) and want to start an actual, useful project, plan it out carefully, breaking it down into the smallest steps you can before coding each of those steps separately so it's easier to figure out when^[2] something breaks.
