stopping popups

so my computer is spitting out popups at me every so often and hasn't done this before, sometimes shits afew out sometimes shits ungodly many and I can't seem to get them to stop. ended suspicious processes and ran virus scans but nothing stopped em yet, any tips

Run an antispyware instead. You'll be surprised at how many malwares the antivirus didn't detect. Antiviruses suck at detecting anything else than viruses.
