I've been trying to use my Wii with this HDTV I have here, and it does something very annoying. Whenever there's a lot of dark on the screen (like if I'm using WAD Manager or playing RE Umbrella Chronicles), it automatically dims the screen even further. I know there's a "light sensor" option which supposedly adjusts the backlight's brightness based on ambient light, but this even happens when I turn that option off. It's a colossal pain in the neck, and it makes playing Umbrella Chronicles impossible. Is there any possible way I could fix this, that won't involve buying expensive devices, replacing the TV, and/or learning to see colors invisible to the human eye? If it helps, it's a Sony Bravia KDL-26M4000.
