Hey, I'm wondering if I can get any network help, since my ISP is comprised of a bunch of chimps.
I've been with this ISP, Utlity Warehouse for some time now. Ever since we've been with them, we get these sudden disconnects from the network which is evident by our routers flashing green (in the case of our D-Link) or flashing orange (in the case of our netgear). The router we use the most is our Netgear DG834G.
I have been in contact with my ISP in the past to rectify this problem, but all they could suggest to us is to replace our filters, which we did, and the issue persists today in ever greater frequency.
I'll be honest and say I have no idea why this is happening at all. I don't know if this is my ISP's problem or something I need to do to fix this, but any suggestions as to how I should try and fix this are greatly appreciated. I need to end this soon before I throw my netgear out the window.
I do have experience with tweaking things in my router's setup page, so if there is anything there I can change to remedy the issue then please suggest some things.
This is coming from a competitive fighting game player who does online multiplayer as well as playing the odd FPS now and then. It is SERIOUSLY annoying.
